What happens in warm weather?

During the warmer months, we take the following steps to ensure your chocolates arrive in a reasonable condition:

1. We upgrade all deliveries to First Class Post at no extra cost.

2. We store the boxes in controlled conditions right until the point of despatch in late afternoon. They then travel during the cooler evening and early morning.

3. Despatches on a Friday will be kept to a minimum to avoid the chocolate being held at the sorting office over the weekend.

Chocolates can be stored in your fridge during exceptionally hot spells, but please do seal the box in a plastic bag first. This prevents excessive moisture from damaging the chocolates. Lightly melted chocolates can be re-formed in this way.

If, despite these precautions, your chocolates have been heat damaged, do please contact us.

You may also choose to have your chocolates delivered to your work address so that you can store them in a cool place as soon as they arrive .

We do realise , however , that sometimes despite our best efforts the occasional box may arrive having been damaged by the heat . If you have any problems at all during the summer , then please contact us straight away from Belgium 014/706765 from outside Belgium +32 (0) 14 706765 .
